The Latham Ultimate Series Surface Fixed 25mm Deep floor expansion joint covers are available with aluminium and stainless steel cover plates; this series can carry a BFG water gutter if required. The series has a depth below the finished floor height of 25mm. The series is designed to be installed in a retro fit application when an expansion joint cover has been left out of the design or installation and it needs to be cut in later. This system offers relatively easy and quick retro fit application and does not require the surrounding floor finish to be removed. When the installation structural joint width exceeds 50mm the series can accommodate the Latham Fire Barrier System.

The Latham Ultimate Series Surface Fixed floor expansion joint covers are designed for normal pedestrian applications such as office buildings, hotels, foyers, shopping centres, airports etc. These joint covers can be used in conjunction with many floor finishes such as tile, timber, concrete, vinyl, direct stick carpet and carpet tiles, epoxy floors etc. The systems offer various movements in 6 directions. The actual movement available will depend on the physical structural joint width and the installation width for the expansion joint cover. In new applications we would recommend that a recessed expansion joint cover like those available from the rest of the Ultimate Series be considered as this will provide better performance than the retro fit product detailed here.
